King & Spalding Advises Arcapita on Forward-Funding Partnership with ASMO for 1.4 Million sqm Logistics Hub at SPARK

"King & Spalding advised Arcapita on a forward-funding investment and long-term partnership with ASMO, the Aramco–DHL Supply Chain joint venture, to develop a 1.4 million square metre logistics and warehousing facility at King Salman Energy Park (SPARK). Arcapita will fund and retain ownership; ASMO will develop, lease and operate under a 22-year occupational lease."

King & Spalding advised Arcapita on a forward-funding investment and partnership with ASMO, the joint venture between Aramco and DHL Supply Chain, in relation to a large-scale logistics and warehousing project at King Salman Energy Park (SPARK) in Saudi Arabia. The transaction concerns the development of a 1.4 million square metre logistics and warehousing facility that will serve as ASMO’s central logistics hub in Saudi Arabia. Under the terms of the partnership, Arcapita will fund the development and retain ownership of the asset, while ASMO will be responsible for developing, leasing and operating the facility under a 22-year occupational lease. King & Spalding represented Arcapita with a team composed by: Malek Al Rifai (real estate partner), Alex Barker (senior associate), Nick Impey (senior associate) and Husni Al Far (associate).
