Norton Rose Fulbright Advises Gallagher Bassett on Acquisition of Reck & Co.

Reck & Co. was advised by LOYFORT. Translink acted as M&A adviser to the buyer and Deloitte conducted financial due diligence. Terms were not disclosed."

Norton Rose Fulbright advised Gallagher Bassett on the acquisition of the Reck & Co. Group, with Swiss firm Wenger Vieli providing advice on Swiss law. Bremen firm LOYFORT advised Reck & Co. In addition, Translink acted as M&A adviser to the buyer and Deloitte provided financial due diligence. The transaction concerns the acquisition by Gallagher Bassett, a global provider of claims management and risk control solutions, of the Reck & Co. Group, headquartered in Bremen with subsidiaries in France, Belgium and Switzerland. The acquisition is a strategic step in Gallagher Bassett's growth plans for the marine and transport claims sector. The parties have agreed that the terms of the transaction will not be disclosed. Reck & Co. is a specialist provider of global transport and marine claims services, including surveying, claim handling, recovery and loss prevention. The Reck & Co. team, led by Franz Kasten and Marc A. Friedrich, will remain in their current location and will operate under the direction of Manan Sagar, head of Gallagher Bassett's Europe, Middle East and Asia operations.
