Bird & Bird appoints partners Krzysztof Zięba and Michał Kulesza to Warsaw Commercial team

Krzysztof Zięba advises clients across a broad range of sectors, including retail, FMCG, food, chemicals, cosmetics, electronics, media and automotive, on commercial, consumer, trade, e-commerce and distribution law. He has strong expertise in supply chain operations and specialises in drafting and negotiating key commercial agreements such as retail, franchise, selective distribution, logistics, licensing and marketing agreements. Krzysztof is also a trusted representative in litigation and regulatory matters, particularly involving advertising and contractual performance issues, including product labelling, price presentation, greenwashing and trade secret protection, and frequently represents clients before the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection in consumer law and payment-related disputes. He joins Bird & Bird as a partner.
Michał Kulesza is an experienced IT and commercial law expert advising leading clients across the technology and regulated financial sectors. He focuses on regulatory and contractual matters at the intersection of law, technology and risk, including DORA and Polish Financial Supervision Authority (UKNF) guidelines, cybersecurity, digitalisation, cloud computing, outsourcing and FinTech. Michał supports clients on high-value IT transactions and transformation programmes, including implementation projects, and on licensing, maintenance, service, outsourcing and cloud agreements (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS), translating complex technical and regulatory requirements into clear and enforceable legal solutions. He also advises on significant IT undertakings in Poland, such as data centre projects and large-scale cloud implementations for banks, insurers, investment funds and healthcare entities, and on matters for clients in energy, critical infrastructure and telecommunications, with a growing focus on AI, cyber resilience and operational continuity. Michał joins Bird & Bird as a partner and will take on the role of Head of the Tech & Comms team in Poland.
