Haynes Boone Adds Partner Jason Elliott to Labor and Employment Practice in Dallas

"Haynes Boone adds Partner Jason Elliott to its Labor and Employment Practice in Dallas. He will handle labor and employment litigation, ERISA matters and M&A-related employment counseling."

Jason Elliott has joined Haynes Boone as a Partner in the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Group in Dallas.

Elliott is an accomplished attorney with more than 20 years of experience advising employers on complex workplace and employment-related matters. He will focus on labor and employment matters, including executive employment agreements and disputes, unfair competition litigation (including temporary restraining order actions concerning alleged breaches of noncompete agreements, misappropriation of trade secrets and tortious interference), wage-and-hour class actions and employment discrimination claims.

In addition to his litigation and dispute-resolution work, Elliott provides tailored employment guidance in M&A matters, particularly private equity transactions. He has served as an employment law advisor on due diligence, valuation of identified compliance risks, negotiation of terms, workforce integration, reduction and employment transition programs, executive employment agreements and restrictive covenants, and implementation of post-closing compliance initiatives. He also represents employer plan sponsors and fiduciaries in ERISA-related litigation, including alleged fiduciary breaches, improper denial of benefits and matters under the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act.

Elliott has represented clients across a broad range of industries, including finance, software and technology, retail, manufacturing, food and beverage, oil and gas, and defense and aerospace. He joins Haynes Boone’s Dallas office after more than 12 years at Perkins Coie, where he worked alongside recent Haynes Boone additions Ann Marie Painter and April Goff.
