PwC Legal STA and PwC Tax STP appoint new boards with Pontecorvo, Catona and Meulepas
"PwC Legal STA and PwC Tax STP appoint Barbara Pontecorvo as CEO of PwC Legal STA, Alessandro Catona as CEO of PwC Tax STP and Marco Meulepas as president of both; appointments cover legal and tax services."
Marco Meulepas was previously responsible for tax activities at the Associazione Professionale TLS. He has been chosen as president of both PwC Legal STA and PwC Tax STP and will facilitate coordination of fiscal and legal activities to promote integration and multidisciplinary service delivery across the PwC platform.
Barbara Pontecorvo, an attorney, joined PwC in July with a team of professionals after significant experience in boutique law firms and in another Big Four firm. She assumes the role of chief executive officer of PwC Legal STA.
Alessandro Catona, a chartered accountant with more than 20 years at PwC, has been the leader of the Financial Services Tax Department. He assumes the role of chief executive officer of PwC Tax STP.
Separately, Alessandro Grandinetti leaves the coordination of the Legal area and is confirmed in his role as Clients & Markets leader for all PwC service lines in Italy, with a coordination role at EMEA level for the Energy and Utilities sector.
