Jonathan Trafimow has been appointed Managing Partner of Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP, effective January 20, 2026.

Mr. Trafimow, a partner in the Firm’s Litigation Department and Co-Chair of the Employment practice group, brings more than three decades of experience to his new leadership role. He is an experienced litigator and trial lawyer whose practice focuses on employment litigation and counseling, representing management in disputes involving discrimination, harassment, wage and hour claims, restrictive covenants and other workplace matters. He regularly advises employers on compliance issues and risk management and has extensive experience in federal and state court litigation involving employment disputes, business matters, real estate and professional liability claims. A graduate of New York University Law School, Mr. Trafimow has been recognized as a New York Super Lawyer and is noted for his sophisticated approach to resolving complex employment and business disputes.

Mr. Trafimow succeeds Judith Wallace, who served as Managing Partner since 2018. Ms. Wallace has been elected to the Firm’s Executive Committee and will continue her nationally recognized art law and litigation practice. As Chair of the Firm’s Art Law practice group, she will represent clients in art-related disputes, transactions and regulatory matters, and in fiduciary litigation involving estates and tax-exempt organizations.
