Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney Expands Finance Practice in Pittsburgh

Jon Mooney focuses his practice on capital markets transactions and regularly handles credit transactions of all types, including secured and unsecured, bilateral, club, and syndicated transactions across investment‑grade to financially challenged borrowers. He has particular expertise in trade receivables financing, from factoring to complex securitization structures, and represents banks, private credit funds and sellers/borrowers in receivables and supply chain finance transactions in the United States, Canada and Europe. Mooney is entering Buchanan as a shareholder. Prior to joining Buchanan, he led legal support for several lines of business at PNC Bank and served as Chief Legal Officer of PNC Capital Markets LLC; earlier in his career he led legal services for Bank of America’s Commercial Banking Division.
Dawson Klinger represents both financial institutions and borrowers in syndicated loans, asset‑backed finance, acquisitions and asset‑based lending. He joins Buchanan as an associate and holds a law degree with a concentration in Tax Law from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
