Armstrong Teasdale Adds Partner Alexander Cohen to New York and Strengthens Washington, D.C. Securities Team

Alexander Cohen joins Armstrong Teasdale as a Partner in the New York office. He brings over a decade of experience in securities enforcement defense and regulatory counseling, including work in a nationally recognized group ranked by Chambers USA and U.S. News. Cohen has been seconded to the legal department of a leading broker-dealer and currently serves on the Advisory Board of Securities Docket. He has handled complex matters for private corporations, publicly traded companies, financial institutions and affiliated individuals in SEC and FINRA investigations, as well as high-stakes litigation in state and federal courts. He will focus his practice on clients in the financial services industry and public companies navigating investigations, examinations, regulatory challenges and related business disputes.
Kameron Hillstrom joins as a Senior Associate, contributing to the Corporate Services Group and the firm’s Securities Regulation and Litigation Practice. He has in-depth experience in private equity and hedge fund formation and advises on U.S. regulatory issues related to fund structure and formation, derivatives, mergers and acquisitions, marketing, and registration and filing requirements for U.S.- and non-U.S.-based investment advisers, exempt reporting advisers and broker-dealers. Hillstrom has both regulatory and transactional experience and was previously an attorney in the Washington, D.C. office of a global law firm; he also served as Assistant General Counsel for the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA).
Devon Goodall joins AT Government Strategies (ATGS), a subsidiary of Armstrong Teasdale, as Director of Regulatory Policy. At ATGS she will focus on clients in the securities industry by identifying and collaborating on emerging legislative and regulatory public policy issues at the federal and state levels, and by providing guidance and advocacy strategies. Goodall was previously Associate Vice President and Senior Policy Director, Government Relations, for a national wealth management and financial services firm, and has experience advocating in multiple states, working on statewide political campaigns, and serving in government roles including work for former Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker.
