Hilliard is a recognized leader in high-stakes commercial litigation, regulatory enforcement, and corporate governance matters, with deep experience representing clients in the financial services and investment management sectors. Her practice encompasses business litigation, securities and shareholder derivative litigation, securities class actions, internal investigations, and enforcement matters involving the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice. She routinely advises boards and senior executives on litigation and regulatory risk arising from transformational transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and private equity- and venture capital-backed investments, as well as on enterprise-level governance and risk management issues.
Hilliard joins Dorsey as a partner, coming from McGuireWoods LLP, where she was a partner. She earned her J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law and a B.A. from SMU. Her arrival strengthens the Firm’s Dallas litigation platform and enhances its capabilities serving financial services clients confronting complex regulatory and enforcement challenges. Hilliard is active in the Dallas legal community, serving on the Dallas Bar Association Board of Directors and as Immediate Past President of the Dallas Women Lawyers Association.
