Inês Albuquerque Castro joins Ec Legal as partner
"Inês Albuquerque Castro joins Ec Legal as a partner in the employment team, bringing 25 years' experience in labour and social security law and advising on labour matters, restructurings, transfers, litigation and disciplinary proceedings."
With a 25-year career, she specialises in labour and social security law and advises legal and human resources departments of national and international companies. Her practice includes advising on labour matters, corporate restructuring and reorganisation, transfers of establishments, labour litigation and assistance in disciplinary proceedings. She also participated in the drafting of the 2003 Portuguese Labour Code.
Prior to joining Ec Legal, she transitioned from Eversheds Sutherland, where she spent a decade, and has previously worked at Vieira de Almeida, Miranda & Associados and AJFF.
Her academic qualifications include postgraduate degrees in Public Employment Law and in European Economic Criminal Law from the University of Coimbra, a postgraduate degree in Labour Law from the University of Lisbon, and a law degree from the University of Lisbon.
Commenting on the move, she said she is delighted to be joining ec legal and to take on the challenge of growing the team while bringing the expertise that has defined her 25-year legal career.
