Gómez-Acebo & Pombo hires Rafael Murillo as litigation and arbitration coordinator

Murillo has more than 30 years of experience managing commercial disputes, with a particular focus on contractual conflicts, financial litigation, product liability and arbitration. He is also an expert in regulatory matters and has participated in significant administrative and contentious proceedings. He regularly advises large financial institutions and investment banks on contentious and non-contentious matters, as well as major national and international companies in sectors such as infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, banking, telecommunications and energy.
He joins Gómez-Acebo & Pombo from Freshfields, where he was a partner and head of the litigation and arbitration practice in Spain. At Gómez-Acebo & Pombo he will serve as coordinator of the Litigation and Arbitration practice.
This is Gómez-Acebo & Pombo’s second signing from Freshfields, following the earlier hire of Fernando Soto, head of the real estate practice.
Gómez-Acebo & Pombo’s Litigation and Arbitration team comprises seven partners and more than 40 associates across its offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Bilbao.
