Eversheds Sutherland expands partnership in Portugal

The lawyers promoted to equity partners — João Osório de Castro, Gonçalo Mexia and António Cid — specialise in corporate and M&A. They were non-equity partners prior to these promotions and have been elevated to equity partner status. Bruno Arez Martins, a tax specialist, was a non-equity partner and has been promoted to equity partner. Sofia Ferreira Enriquez, who focuses on litigation and insurance, was a non-equity partner and has been promoted to equity partner. Dirce Rente, specialising in criminal law, administrative offences and compliance, was a non-equity partner and has been promoted to equity partner. Teresa Pessoa e Costa has been promoted to non-equity partner following her career within the corporate and M&A department.
Teresa Oliveira Braga joins Eversheds Sutherland from PLMJ as a non-equity partner. A tax law specialist and former senior counsel at PLMJ, she brings more than 15 years of legal experience to the firm.
