Shepherd and Wedderburn appoints Sam Jones as Director in its Employment Law team
"Shepherd and Wedderburn appoints Sam Jones as Director in its Aberdeen Employment Law team; he joins from Burness Paull and will work on employment matters, with strengths in energy and marine/seafarer issues."
Sam joins from Burness Paull. He has very broad experience of both contentious and non-contentious work, including complex strategic projects across many sectors, particularly the Energy sector. He is an expert in marine and seafarer employment issues, a distinctive area that frequently has an international dimension and on which he has advised several large multinationals. He also has extensive Employment Tribunal advocacy experience both north and south of the border.
The appointment comes amid rapid growth for Shepherd and Wedderburn’s Employment team in Aberdeen. The firm notes that partners Tricia Walker and Andrew Knight joined from Burness Paull 18 months ago, and that Martyna Proczek joined the Aberdeen Employment team from Clifford Chance around 12 months ago.
