Dechert Adds Former SEC Counsel David Marcinkus to Financial Services Group
"Dechert appoints former SEC Counsel David Marcinkus as partner in its financial services group to strengthen BDC and closed-end fund work within its permanent capital and private credit practice."
Mr. Marcinkus will be based in Dechert's Washington, D.C. office. He joins Dechert from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, where he most recently served as Counsel to the Chairman. During his SEC tenure he played a central role in regulatory initiatives including closed-end fund and BDC offering reforms, co-investment orders and the fund valuation rule.
He brings deep expertise in business development companies (BDCs) and closed-end funds and will bolster Dechert's permanent capital and private credit practice. Mr. Marcinkus has also worked in private practice and served in-house at a major asset management firm.
