Kelley represents major public and private companies, financial services firms, and individual clients in a broad variety of complex commercial disputes. Her practice frequently concerns complex financial matters, including bankruptcy-related litigation, debt restructuring litigation, and insurance investment disputes. She also has experience defending clients against claims of professional malpractice, employment discrimination, and antitrust violations, and in connection with government and regulatory investigations.
Kelley is a member of 100 Women in Finance and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Kinderhook Memorial Library in Kinderhook, New York. She maintains a varied pro bono practice, including work with professional organizations that advocate for gender equity and women’s rights in the workplace. Prior to joining Friedman Kaplan in 2013, she practiced at Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg LLP in Philadelphia and served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Kiyo A. Matsumoto of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York and for the Honorable Leonard P. Stark of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. She graduated cum laude from Brooklyn Law School and received a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Amherst College.
