Reed Smith appoints Anders Nilsson as Middle East managing partner

Nilsson joins Reed Smith from Bird & Bird, where he spent more than 20 years between 2004 and 2025. He practised across the M&A, corporate and aviation areas and now takes up the role of managing partner for Reed Smith’s Middle East offices.
Reed Smith’s regional presence includes offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and the firm recently opened in Riyadh. Reed Smith’s expansion into Saudi Arabia in late 2025 was led by Gregor Pryor, the firm’s EME managing partner.
