DWF strengthens its Insurance department with Alessio Basso and a new sureties sub-practice
"DWF welcomes Alessio Basso to its Insurance Department to develop a new sureties sub-practice. Basso will work in insurance law, specialising in credit and sureties, claims advice, regulatory matters and tech-related legal issues."
Basso brings a consolidated career in insurance law, with particular focus on credit and sureties. He has provided judicial and extrajudicial advice to major Italian and international insurance companies and groups. His practice covers matters related to claims handling as well as regulatory and compliance issues, and he also has experience with topics connected to the AI Act, blockchain and smart contracts. He joins DWF from Studio legale Scofone.
DWF says the new sub-practice completes the firm’s insurance offering and strengthens its ability to support clients across the full insurance value chain, integrating claims management, adjusting activity, regulatory counsel and specialist legal assistance.
