Hogan Lovells appoints Paul Gilford as global Chief Information Officer
"Hogan Lovells appoints Paul Gilford as global Chief Information Officer to lead technology transformation, AI strategy and the firm’s move to a cloud-based environment."
Gilford will be based in the firm’s London office. He joins Hogan Lovells with extensive experience leading technology transformation programs across international law firms and professional services organizations. His previous roles include senior positions at DLA Piper, Azets and McKinsey, where he played a key role in strengthening technological infrastructure, advancing cloud-first strategies, enhancing security frameworks and guiding organizations through periods of significant technological change.
As global CIO, Gilford will work closely with Mark Brennan, the firm’s Global Managing Partner for Digitalization, and Sebastian Lach, Co-CEO of ELTEMATE, the firm’s joint legal tech venture, to continue advancing the firm’s AI strategy and to lead the execution of the firm’s Technology Roadmap, including the transition to a fully cloud-based environment.
He succeeds Gareth Ash, who will retire in February after almost nine years with the firm.
