Foster Garvey Welcomes Rebecca Spira to Portland Litigation Practice
"Foster Garvey has hired Rebecca Spira as an associate in its Portland Litigation practice. She will work in employment, commercial, toxic tort, general liability insurance and products liability litigation."
Spira’s practice spans employment, commercial, toxic tort, general liability insurance and products liability litigation. She has represented clients and participated in mediations in a wide variety of cases, including product liability, mass tort, employment and bad faith insurance claims.
Before joining Foster Garvey, Spira was a litigation associate at a national law firm in Portland. She also clerked for Magistrate Judges Carolyn K. Delaney and Kendall J. Newman at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California, and served as an immigration attorney for the Capitol Area Immigrants’ Rights Coalition in Washington, D.C., representing detained non-citizens in removal proceedings.
Spira graduated cum laude from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she served on the Chicago-Kent Law Review and was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society, and holds a bachelor’s degree from Colorado College.
