Andersen strengthens Málaga labour practice with integration of RM Abogados Laboralistas

"Andersen integrates a nine‑strong team from RM Abogados Laboralistas in Málaga to reinforce its labour and social security practice, with Salvador Ruiz Menacho joining as labour partner and head of the Andalusia practice."

A team of nine professionals from RM Abogados Laboralistas, including founding partner Salvador Ruiz Menacho, have joined Andersen and become members of its Málaga office.

Salvador Ruiz Menacho, founding partner of RM Abogados Laboralistas, joins Andersen as a labour partner and head of the practice in Andalusia. He brings 35 years of experience in labour law, holds a law degree from the University of Málaga, and has completed specialist training in collective bargaining, mediation and labour dispute resolution at the Faculty of Law of Huelva and the Andalusian Council for Labour Relations, as well as in labour negotiation at the Instituto de Empresa. He has also completed courses on labour reforms at the Judicial School and the Practical Collective Bargaining programme on European Union matters at the College of Europe, and serves as an honorary lecturer in labour law at the University of Málaga.

The remainder of the team join Andersen from RM Abogados Laboralistas and bring experience in labour and social security advice to companies. Their work covers preventive and contentious advice, including the defence of corporate liability and governing bodies in workplace accident cases, participation in collective bargaining processes, the implementation of internal and external flexibility measures, and support in restructurings and corporate transactions from a labour perspective. Their client base includes medium-sized and large companies across different sectors, senior executives, public administrations and public companies.

As a result of the integration, Andersen’s Málaga office now comprises 70 professionals, 16 of whom form the labour department, and has consolidated revenues of €7 million. Andersen described the move as a step to strengthen its labour advisory capabilities and support the development and transformation of the region’s business fabric.
