Baker Botts appoints Alhassane Barry as partner and global head of mining and metals in the UAE
"Baker Botts hires Alhassane Barry as partner and global head of mining and metals (outside the US). He will join the firm’s global projects team working on mining and metals, energy and infrastructure in emerging markets."
Barry has worked across the U.S., Paris, Dubai and Abu Dhabi and has served in the global projects groups of Clifford Chance and Watson Farley & Williams. His practice focuses on large‑scale international project development and financing across mining and metals, oil and gas and other natural resources, and power and infrastructure projects in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. He regularly advises sponsors, developers, equity investors, traders, public entities and financiers on project development and financing matters globally, with a particular focus on emerging and growth markets.
