DWF strengthens Insurance department with the addition of Alessio Basso
"DWF hires Alessio Basso to strengthen its Insurance department and to create a new sub-practice for surety bonds; he brings extensive insurance law experience from Studio Legale Scofone."
Basso brings consolidated experience in insurance law and in advising companies and international groups. He has spent his career working in insurance law (credit and sureties) and providing both judicial and extrajudicial counsel to major Italian and international insurers, including on matters related to the AI Act, blockchain and smart contracts. He was previously at Studio Legale Scofone.
His arrival is part of DWF’s strategy to further strengthen its Insurance practice and to complete its offering across claims management, regulatory and compliance matters and corporate M&A, reinforcing the firm’s integrated end-to-end insurance platform.
