Dentons appoints Capital Markets partner Peter Cullen in Dubai
"Dentons in Dubai has appointed Peter Cullen as a Capital Markets partner to its Middle East Banking and Finance team; he will work in Debt Capital Markets and Structured Products, specialising in Sukuk/Islamic Finance."
Peter’s practice encompasses Debt Capital Markets (DCM) and Structured Products, with a particular specialism in Sukuk/Islamic Finance. He joins Dentons as a partner and will contribute to the firm’s growing Middle East Banking and Finance practice. With eight years’ experience practising in the Middle East, Peter has advised on complex transactions for international and regional banks and has established strong relationships with major international investment banks and local Middle Eastern financial institutions. He joined the firm on 5 January 2026.
Paul Jarvis, CEO of Dentons UK, Ireland and Middle East, said Peter’s appointment and the recent relocation of DCM partner Victoria Wyer to Dubai further enhance the market-leading quality of the Middle East Banking and Finance team. Stephen Knight, partner and head of the practice, said that adding Peter’s DCM and structured finance skills strengthens the firm’s offering and contributes to a two-partner DCM capability in the region.
