Birketts appoints Michael Conway as first Intellectual Property Partner in Bristol

Michael is a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney with nearly 20 years’ experience. He specialises in intellectual property, particularly branding and trade marks. He has worked for businesses across a variety of sectors, including luxury watches, enterprise software and steam engineering, and is experienced in a range of UK, European and overseas trade mark matters. He advises clients from SMEs to multinationals on clearing new brands for use and registering them as trade marks, on disputes at the UK Intellectual Property Office and other global trade mark registries, and on securing, maintaining and enforcing rights in product designs.
Michael is the first IP specialist to join Birketts’ growing Bristol office and is the ninth new Partner to join that office since it opened at the end of 2024.
