"Flore Poloni joins Bird & Bird in Paris as a partner in the Dispute Resolution Group to bolster its international arbitration practice across energy, defence, technology and life sciences."

Flore Poloni has joined international law firm Bird & Bird as a partner in its Dispute Resolution Group in Paris.

Poloni is an international arbitration specialist who represents clients in the defence, energy (including nuclear and liquified natural gas), logistics and life sciences sectors in international arbitration proceedings, frequently in connection with projects located in Africa. She regularly acts in shareholder and post-acquisition disputes for private-equity clients and in disputes arising from the termination of agreements due to economic changes (such as force majeure allegations) or legal developments (notably sanctions) for industrial clients. She has also assisted companies in disputes linked to the termination of major IT projects, including ERP deployments and IT outsourcing, as well as complex R&D and collaboration agreements in the life sciences sector.

Poloni is active in the arbitration community: she co-founded the Paris Very Young Arbitration Practitioners in 2012, co-chaired the Young International Arbitration Group of the LCIA, and regularly serves as an arbitrator. She joins Bird & Bird’s Paris office at partner level, strengthening the firm’s international arbitration practice, a key pillar of its Dispute Resolution strategy.
