Charles Russell Speechlys appoints Luca Beffa as partner in Geneva

Beffa joins from Baker McKenzie’s Geneva office, where he co‑headed the firm’s dispute resolution group. He enters Charles Russell Speechlys with partner status, having previously served as co‑head of dispute resolution at Baker McKenzie in Geneva.
An expert in international arbitration, Beffa has acted both as counsel and arbitrator under various rules and in related proceedings before Swiss ordinary courts and the Swiss Federal Tribunal. His practice also covers litigation, with a focus on commercial, banking, M&A, construction, healthcare, trading and cross‑border transactions, as well as sports law.
Beffa serves as an arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and the Court of Arbitration for Art (CAfA). He is a member of the ICC Swiss Commission of Arbitration and ADR, the Marketing Committee of the Swiss Arbitration Association, the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Commission of the Geneva Bar Association, and the Appeals Chamber of the UEFA Club Financial Control Body (CFCB).
