Calbacho brings almost 40 years of legal experience. He was most recently a partner at Uría Menéndez, where he also headed the firm’s New York office between 2002 and 2005. Prior to his time at Uría Menéndez, he held senior legal positions in industry, serving as solicitor at Grupo Ercros, director of legal affairs at Fertiberia, legal director at Repsol and general secretary at Agroman.
His professional practice focuses on commercial law, with particular emphasis on company acquisitions, real estate transactions and debt restructuring processes. He also has extensive experience in corporate law and corporate governance.
