Hogan Lovells appoints Eduardo Pérez as partner and Igor Montejo Alonso as counsel

Eduardo Pérez is promoted to partner in the Corporate & Finance practice. He has been part of Hogan Lovells’ Corporate team in Madrid since September 2014 and previously served as counsel at the firm. Pérez specialises in corporate restructuring, company acquisitions, joint ventures and commercial contracts, and advises national and international clients on commercial and securities market transactions. His practice covers the aerospace and defence, manufacturing and industrials, and life sciences and healthcare sectors.
Igor Montejo Alonso is promoted to counsel in the Tax, Pensions & Benefits practice. He joins the counsel ranks after 12 years with the firm, having been a senior associate, and previously worked at KPMG and Bufete Barrilero y Asociados. Montejo Alonso specialises in corporate taxation, advising on M&A transactions, corporate reorganisations, financial transactions and real estate transactions. His experience includes international taxation, corporate tax and indirect taxation across multiple sectors, as well as national and international due diligence processes.
These appointments form part of Hogan Lovells’ internal promotions for 2026, which include 28 solicitors promoted to partner and 53 to effective counsel as of 1 January. Hogan Lovells CEO Miguel Zaldivar said the newly promoted partners and counsel strengthen the firm’s ability to advise on complex mandates across regulated sectors and reflect the firm’s strategy to maintain balance across practices, geographies and sectors.
