Fieldfisher strengthens Technology & Data practice with the hire of Chris Cartmell

Chris is a dual-qualified solicitor in England & Wales and Hong Kong (admitted but currently non-practising) with more than 15 years’ experience advising on privacy, cybersecurity and digital compliance across highly regulated sectors and multiple jurisdictions. He joins Fieldfisher from PwC, where he led the UK Digital & Data legal team, and will be based in the firm’s London office.
With international experience including three years working in Greater China, Chris is noted for advising clients in the energy, financial services and technology sectors on cross-border compliance and for managing global investigations into data breaches and cybercrime. He will join Fieldfisher’s expert data privacy team within the Technology & Data group co-headed by partners Hazel Grant and Simon Briskman.
