Frédéric Biais and his teams join CMC Avocats
"Frédéric Biais and his teams join CMC Avocats to reinforce its business law practice, working across corporate/M&A, commercial litigation, restructuring, real estate & IP."
CMC Avocats, a multidisciplinary firm founded in 2014 in Bordeaux by Marie-Christine Ribeiro and Conny Knepper, now brings together 12 lawyers across five core areas: corporate/M&A, commercial litigation, restructuring, real estate & construction law, and intellectual property.
Frédéric Biais is the founder of the firm Biais & Associés and has built a recognised practice in business law advising and representing companies, groups and corporate officers in the Bordeaux market. He handles both advisory and contentious matters, in particular development and restructuring operations and files with significant economic and legal stakes. He is joining CMC Avocats as a partner and, during a transition period, will continue to assist his clients personally alongside CMC Avocats’ teams. His clients will gain access to the firm’s full range of expertise in corporate/M&A, commercial litigation, restructuring, real estate & construction and intellectual property.
Christophe Biais, described in the announcement as Frédéric’s associate at Biais & Associés, and his teams are joining Ellipse Avocats Bordeaux, a firm specialising in employment law and labour relations for employers.
Marie-Christine Ribeiro and Conny Knepper, founding partners of CMC Avocats, said the arrival of Frédéric Biais and his teams strengthens the firm’s business law capabilities and aligns with the multidisciplinary model the firm has developed since its creation.
