A&O Shearman strengthens German patent practice with Dr. Constanze Krenz

Dr. Constanze Krenz will join A&O Shearman’s Munich office with effect from November 1, 2026, strengthening the firm’s German patent practice.

Prior to joining A&O Shearman, Constanze Krenz played a key role in developing DLA Piper’s German patent practice and served as Office Managing Partner for DLA Piper’s Munich office.

Krenz has extensive experience in handling complex patent disputes. She represents German and international companies in patent infringement and validity proceedings and provides strategic advice on major patent disputes, including competition law issues relating to standard-essential patents (SEPs). Her clients include companies from the information technology, telecommunications, media and consumer electronics sectors, as well as technology- and innovation-driven industries such as automotive, aerospace and manufacturing.

She will work closely with the teams led by Dr. Jan Ebersohl, Denise Benz and Dr. Stephan Neuhaus.
