Andersen adds Sergio Fernández as partner in Valencia

"Andersen hires Sergio Fernández Monedero as partner in its Valencia urban planning practice; he brings over 25 years' experience in urban planning, land use, environmental law and public procurement."

Sergio Fernández Monedero has joined Andersen as a partner in its urban planning practice in the firm’s Valencia office.

Joining from Cuatrecasas, Fernández Monedero brings more than 25 years of specialized experience in urban planning, land use regulation, environmental law and public procurement. He holds a law degree from the University of Valencia and a Master’s in Territorial and Urban Planning Policy from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Over the course of his career he has worked on complex projects, represented clients in administrative litigation proceedings, and contributed to drafting preliminary regulatory bills related to his specialty. He is also a speaker at conferences and courses on urban planning and public law and has co‑authored several reference manuals as well as numerous articles in his field.

José Vicente Morote, managing partner of Andersen Iberia, said Fernández is a professional with a long track record and deep knowledge of urban planning law, and that his incorporation expands the firm’s capacity to advise companies and public entities on projects requiring technical expertise, regulatory understanding and business vision. Benjamín Prieto and Carlos Mínguez, partners and co‑heads of Andersen in Valencia, said the arrival represents a significant boost for the Valencia office and for the firm’s ability to offer increasingly specialized advice in areas key to the economic and business development of the Comunidad Valenciana.
