Bell Nunnally Adds Four Associates
"Bell Nunnally adds four associates: Mia Churchill to its Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions practice, and William Hinson, Mackenzie Mattingly and Xixi Zheng to its Litigation group."
Mia Churchill joins Bell Nunnally’s Corporate and Securities and Mergers and Acquisitions practices as an associate. She is a graduate of Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law (J.D., 2026) and The University of Texas at Austin (B.A., magna cum laude, 2022). While at SMU, Churchill served as associate managing editor of the SMU International Law Review, after previously serving as a staff editor. She previously worked with Bell Nunnally’s transactional team as a summer associate, assisting with corporate, tax and regulatory matters. Churchill is pending licensure.
William Hinson joins the firm’s Litigation practice as an associate. He is a graduate of The University of Texas School of Law (J.D., 2026) and Trinity University (B.A., 2023). During law school, Hinson served as editor-in-chief of the Texas International Law Journal and executive editor of the American Journal of Criminal Law, competed in the Judge John R. Brown Interscholastic Moot Court Competition, and served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Martin Hoffman of the 68th Civil District Court in Dallas. Hinson previously served as a summer associate with Bell Nunnally. Hinson is pending licensure.
Mackenzie Mattingly joins the firm’s Litigation practice as an associate, focusing on complex commercial disputes. She is a graduate of Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law (J.D., 2025) and Southern Methodist University (B.A., 2018). Prior to joining Bell Nunnally, Mattingly completed a federal clerkship in the Northern District of Texas, serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Terry R. Means, the Honorable Reed O’Connor and the Honorable James Wesley Hendrix. She also previously completed judicial internships in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas.
Xixi Zheng joins the firm’s Litigation practice as an associate. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University School of Law (J.D., 2026) and the University of California, San Diego (B.S.). While at Texas A&M, Zheng served as a Notes and Comments Editor for the Texas A&M Law Review, participated in the Civil Rights Clinic and served as secretary of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association. She also externed for U.S. Magistrate Judge David L. Horan and previously served as a summer associate with Bell Nunnally. Zheng is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and is pending licensure.
