Bersay appoints three new partners to strengthen litigation, public law and financial services practices

Calmann Bellity joins Bersay as a partner within the litigation and arbitration group. Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2011, he has fifteen years of experience acquired at Bredin Prat, where he handled complex commercial and civil business disputes for corporate and individual clients across sectors including industry, financial services, automotive, healthcare and consumer goods. He also has extensive experience defining and coordinating cross-border litigation strategies. Calmann Bellity holds degrees from Sciences Po Paris, Université Paris I Panthéon‑Sorbonne and King’s College London, and has taught since 2022 in the Master 2 Business Law program at Université Paris Dauphine‑PSL.
Julien Anfruns joins Bersay as a partner in charge of the public business law, energy and environment practice. A lawyer at the Paris Bar and a former member of the Conseil d’État, he served as a judge in the litigation section and as a government adviser. He has recognised expertise at the intersection of public business law, economic regulation and environmental and energy policy. He advises industrial companies, energy operators and public bodies on relations with the administration and related disputes, covering public contracts, infrastructure, regulated sector regulation, environmental and energy law and ESG/CSRD compliance issues. He is an alumnus of ENA, EDHEC and Sciences Po Paris and is a sustainability auditor certified by the Haute Autorité de l’Audit. He is joined by Juliette Vailhé, who becomes a collaborator at Bersay.
Mathieu Françon joins Bersay as a partner within the banking, finance regulatory practice. A lawyer since 2010, he has more than fifteen years of experience in banking and financial law. He notably led the Regulatory practice at Bredin Prat before joining the Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution (ACPR), where he headed teams dedicated to banking and financial law for three years. He advises financial institutions, payments players and crypto‑finance companies on regulatory, compliance and supervisory matters.
