Dias Carneiro Advogados strengthens corporate and compliance teams with two new counsels

Fernando Becker Mau and Cíntia Rosa have joined Dias Carneiro Advogados as counsels. The firm said the appointments are intended to expand its capacity to advise on corporate and financial transactions as well as on regulatory enforcement and economic sanctions matters.

Fernando Becker Mau joins the firm’s M&A practice as counsel. He brings more than 14 years of experience advising domestic and foreign clients, including financial institutions, listed companies, multinational corporations and sponsors, on corporate law, M&A and financing transactions. His practice covers mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, restructurings and investments, as well as local and international financings, bilateral and syndicated credit operations, acquisition financing, structured transactions and debt issuances in the Brazilian and international markets. Becker Mau previously worked in New York as an international associate at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in the corporate and M&A practice. He holds a Master of Laws from New York University School of Law, a specialization in corporate structures and operations from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) and a law degree from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie.

Cíntia Rosa joins Dias Carneiro Advogados as counsel in the compliance and corporate investigations area. She has worked on compliance program implementation and investigations in coordination with authorities in Brazil and the United States, with a focus on corruption, cartel and fraud cases. Her experience also includes economic sanctions and export controls, including enforcement matters before U.S. authorities, risk assessments and the design of monitoring mechanisms. Rosa spent nearly eight years at Hogan Lovells and completed a secondment with the compliance team at Meta in California, where she worked on competition compliance and governance in digital markets. She holds an MBA in Data Science and Analytics and has experience in data analysis, forensic analysis and legal technology tools.
