Crowell & Moring Adds California Employment Litigator Nima Darouian

Darouian is an employment litigator with more than 15 years of experience handling sensitive employment disputes. His practice focuses on wage-and-hour class actions and representative matters under the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA). He will represent employers in high‑stakes class actions, PAGA matters, and single‑plaintiff disputes across a range of industries, and will counsel clients on employment best practices, including compensation structures, personnel policies, arbitration agreements, and worker classification.
Darouian joins Crowell & Moring from Ballard Spahr, where he handled large wage-and-hour class actions and other employment litigation matters, including cases involving as many as 25,000 employees. He has defended major U.S. companies in hundreds of complex employment lawsuits involving a broad range of compensation and classification issues and claims including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination. He also developed a substantial counseling practice advising clients from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Darouian received his J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University, and is bilingual in English and Farsi.
