De Diego joins from Dentons, where he served as a partner in the corporate/M&A practice in Madrid for the past five years. The move marks a return to Ramón y Cajal Abogados, where he previously spent ten years. Over more than two decades he has advised listed companies, financial institutions, private equity funds and family businesses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate and financial restructurings, and other significant corporate transactions.
Francisco Palá, managing partner of Ramón y Cajal Abogados, said that Israel’s return to the firm, together with his professional background and existing knowledge of the firm’s culture and working methods, makes his arrival an important reinforcement for the M&A practice. Israel de Diego said he is returning to the firm where he grew professionally and aims to contribute his experience to continue supporting clients in their operations and key business decisions.
