Clyde & Co expands German Tech & Data team with hires Thorsten Ammann and Florian Achnitz
"Clyde & Co hires Tech & Data partner Thorsten Ammann and senior associate Florian Achnitz into its Düsseldorf Tech & Data team; both join from DLA Piper and will work on IT, data and AI matters."
Thorsten Ammann joins Clyde & Co from DLA Piper. At DLA Piper he served as co-head of the German Technology Sector Group and as head of the German AI Subgroup. He advises on complex, large-scale international IT, data and transformation projects, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence and other disruptive technologies. He will join Clyde & Co as a partner.
Florian Achnitz will join Clyde & Co from DLA Piper as a senior associate on 1 June 2026.
With these additions, Clyde & Co’s Tech & Data capability in Germany will include seven lawyers advising on IT law and data protection.
