Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP Adds Former DOJ Antitrust Official Megan Lewis as Litigation Partner

Megan Lewis has joined Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP as a Litigation Partner in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.

Lewis is a former senior official in the U.S. Department of Justice. Over the last two decades she has worked inside and outside government on a wide range of antitrust and other complex matters. As a former Assistant Chief in the Antitrust Division of the DOJ, she supervised criminal investigations involving price fixing, bid rigging, market allocation, algorithmic pricing issues and criminal monopolization across a variety of industries. She also served in leadership roles in the Offices of the Deputy Attorney General and Legislative Affairs, advising senior leadership on high-profile antitrust enforcement and congressional oversight matters.

Leveraging her government experience in private practice, Lewis counsels and represents clients on civil and criminal antitrust matters, including complex cross-border investigations, parallel civil litigation and engagement with enforcers. She joins Simpson Thacher as a Litigation Partner, strengthening the firm’s capabilities in high-stakes antitrust litigation, enforcement and regulatory matters.
