Francesco Lombardo, with nearly twenty years of experience, leaves Freshfields where he held leadership roles in Italy, including serving as office managing partner for Italy from 2022 to 2025, and was a member of the firm’s global board from 2023. He is specialized in private capital and capital solutions and has advised private equity and private capital funds, financial institutions and industrial groups on debt and equity transactions, with particular focus on leveraged and acquisition finance, real assets finance, preferred equity, distressed M&A, liability management, restructurings, capital markets and structured finance.
Giuliano Marzi joins Gpbl as a partner bringing more than twenty years of experience in structured finance, securitisations, asset-based financing and leveraged finance, as well as expertise in the regulation of financial services.
