Fieldfisher appoints Carlos Blanco as Corporate M&A Partner

Carlos Blanco has 19 years' experience advising private equity funds, portfolio companies and industrial groups on domestic and international transactions. His practice focuses on M&A, Private Equity, corporate reorganisations, joint ventures, shareholders' agreements, management incentive plans and complex corporate transactions, with a particular sector focus on telecommunications and mobility, including transport infrastructure and smart mobility solutions.
Prior to joining Fieldfisher, Carlos Blanco was an M&A and Private Equity partner at Squire Patton Boggs in Madrid. Before that, he was a partner at Roca Junyent, where he headed the Madrid office and the Commercial department; a founding partner of a boutique firm specialising in corporate and commercial law advice; and a senior associate at Uria Menendez. Throughout his career he has been involved in significant transactions such as the sale of Eysa to Tikehau, the sale of iPark to CVC-DIF, the acquisition of Temsa by Hyperion (backed by KKR), H.I.G. Capital's investment in Grupo Ransa, ABE Capital Partners' acquisition of a controlling stake in Fanox and Formentor Capital's investment in Excom Telecom Group. He also has extensive experience in transactions and contracts relating to telecommunications infrastructure, including FTTH networks, radio links, bitstream agreements, wholesale contracts and sector consolidation activity.
