EY Law appoints Nuno Lima da Luz and Hélder Mourato as associate partners in Portugal
"EY Law hires Nuno Lima da Luz for Digital Law/TMT and Hélder Mourato for M&A and Finance & Projects (energy and infrastructure) as associate partners in Portugal."
Nuno Lima da Luz will coordinate EY Law’s Digital Law practice, which is currently composed of Inês Bragança Gaspar, Joana Mata, Valéria Polska and Filipa Ribas de Oliveira. His arrival is expected to help consolidate and develop the firm’s TMT practice. His background spans several areas of technology and telecommunications law, including data protection, cybersecurity, e‑commerce, Web3, tokenisation and crypto‑assets. He joins EY Law as an associate partner from Cuatrecasas.
Hélder Mourato will reinforce the M&A team, led by Sara Reis, and the Finance & Projects team, led by Bruno Azevedo Rodrigues, focusing on investment, acquisition and financing transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors. His experience includes corporate transactions, acquisitions and disposals, corporate restructurings, commercial partnerships and regulatory matters linked to the energy sector. He joins EY Law as an associate partner from Morais Leitão.
EY Law will also integrate six new trainee lawyers in September; with these additions the firm will have more than 50 professionals in Portugal.
