Akerman Adds Debt Finance Partner Bruce Steinert in Los Angeles

A veteran debt finance lawyer, Steinert advises private equity sponsors, debt investment funds, publicly traded companies and privately held ventures on leveraged buyout financings and a broad range of debt financing and related corporate matters. He joins Akerman at the partner level.
His practice encompasses acquisition facilities, refinancing facilities, recapitalizations, distressed and workout facilities, bond issuances, and second-lien and junior debt financings on both domestic and multijurisdictional transactions. Steinert has represented clients across sectors including software, IT, business services, health care, manufacturing, retail, insurance and pharmaceuticals, and has worked on financings supporting numerous platform and add-on acquisitions.
He is admitted to practice in California and New York. Steinert is the second partner to join Akerman’s Los Angeles office in recent weeks, following the arrival of litigation partner Jade Faysal Jurdi, underscoring the firm’s continued growth in the market.
