Almeida Prado e Hoffmann appoints Tatiana Kanas as partner
"Almeida Prado e Hoffmann hires Tatiana Kanas as partner to strengthen its tax litigation practice, focusing on complex and strategic tax disputes."
Kanas joins after 14 years at Mattos Filho, where she focused on strategic tax litigation and led high-complexity disputes. Her work has included participation in major judicial tax matters involving large companies and coordination of one of the largest structures dedicated to judicial tax litigation in Brazil. Her background combines legal work on complex cases with team management and monitoring of issues that directly affect clients’ strategy and business operations. Her arrival is intended to reinforce Almeida Prado e Hoffmann’s capacity in complex tax disputes and to expand the firm’s service offering to companies facing sensitive tax matters.
Kanas takes over the role previously held by Carlos Gouveia, who has been appointed to CARF (the Administrative Council of Tax Appeals). She holds a law degree from PUC-SP, a postgraduate degree in Tax Law from FGV-SP, and an MBA in Tax Management from Fipecafi.
