Simmons & Simmons expands Spain employment team
"Simmons & Simmons has hired three employment lawyers in Spain — Sara Moukayed and Paola Vegazo as supervising associates and Blanca de la Peña as an associate — to reinforce its employment practice."
Sara Moukayed joins Simmons & Simmons as a supervising associate. She brings more than ten years of experience in employment and social security law and moves from Freshfields.
Paola Vegazo joins Simmons & Simmons as a supervising associate. She has built her career advising companies on employment and social security matters and arrives from Pérez-Llorca.
Blanca de la Peña joins Simmons & Simmons as an associate. She began her professional career at Garrigues and now becomes part of the firm’s employment team.
All three lawyers will report to Eduardo Peñacoba, managing partner of Simmons & Simmons in Spain and head of the firm’s employment law practice, together with Carmen Torres, partner in the practice. The hires take the employment group past ten specialised professionals and will support work on day-to-day employment advice, corporate restructurings, collective bargaining, employment litigation and support on corporate transactions for domestic and multinational clients across sectors including life sciences, financial services, energy, technology and telecommunications.
