Travers Smith strengthens Dispute Resolution practice with hire of international arbitration specialist Andy Moody

Andy joins Travers Smith from Baker McKenzie, where he served as Global Chair of International Arbitration and London Head of Dispute Resolution. He is an arbitration specialist with deep experience in international commercial and investment treaty arbitrations and English High Court disputes. His work has encompassed major matters in the energy sector and extends across infrastructure, healthcare, industrials and transport, with a particular focus on complex post‑M&A and joint venture cases. Andy regularly acts as lead counsel in high‑value “bet the company” arbitrations, including disputes for global corporates and investor‑state claims, and works closely with corporate teams on disputes arising from transactions. He has held a range of leadership roles within the arbitration community and is recognised for his strategic approach and thought leadership in the London market and internationally.
He will join the dispute resolution team led by partner Heather Gagen and will focus on arbitration mandates.
