Fieldfisher appoints Vanessa Armas as Banking and Finance partner

Armas brings more than 25 years of experience and specialises in project finance across the energy and infrastructure sectors. She has advised sponsors, developers, lenders and investors on the financing, acquisition and divestment of projects and energy assets in Spain and Latin America. She joins Fieldfisher as a partner in the Banking and Finance practice.
Her arrival strengthens Fieldfisher’s Banking and Finance practice in Spain, led by partner Jacobo Otero, and reinforces the firm’s capacity to support clients on increasingly complex and sophisticated financing operations. The move comes amid significant investment needs tied to the energy transition and the development of renewables, storage and new infrastructure.
Prior to joining Fieldfisher, Armas built her career at Freshfields, Jones Day and Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, where she advised domestic and international clients on complex financing transactions, particularly in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
