A&O Shearman appoints Umberto Antonelli as partner in Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure practice

Antonelli has more than 20 years of experience in the energy, infrastructure and transport sectors. He advises infrastructure funds, national and international banks, financial institutions, construction companies, developers and corporates on financing transactions ranging from project finance to infrastructure financing, as well as acquisition finance and corporate finance in those sectors, operating in Italy and across the EMEA region. At A&O Shearman he will leverage the firm’s global platform and existing Italian office synergies to lead the ENRI team in Italy.
Antonelli joins A&O Shearman from Ashurst Perkins Coie, a firm he joined in 2010 and at which he became partner in 2018. Earlier in his career he spent part of his practice at Allen & Overy (legacy).
