Francis Kessler joins Mindset Avocats

Kessler is a Doctor of Law and maître de conférences émérite at the École de droit de la Sorbonne, University of Paris 1. He has served as an expert to the Council of Europe and to the European Commission (DG Employment - European Centre of Expertise on Labour Law) for more than three decades. He is the author of numerous books and articles on social protection and on international and European social law, and has been a columnist for Le Monde since 1999.
In private practice, he was senior counsel in the social law department and a member of the scientific committee at Gide Loyrette Nouel from 2002 to 2023, and then served as avocat associé at Holis avocats in 2024 and 2025.
His activity as a lawyer, in both advisory and litigation work, focuses on social protection law — covering basic and supplementary schemes, mandatory and voluntary (institutional, insurance and financial aspects) — the law of the Social and Economic Committee, and European and international social law.
