Chaintrier Avocats by Cogep strengthens Corporate/M&A and transactional tax teams with seven hires from DS Avocats

The Corporate M&A department, led by Thibaud Forbin, welcomes three new partners and two counsels. Arnaud Burg joins as partner. He practises M&A and structured finance, advising entrepreneurs and investment funds on external growth, fundraising and the implementation of structured financings. He is a member of the Paris Bar and holds a maîtrise in private law, the MSTCF certificate from the University of Toulouse and a DESS in Real Estate Management from ESSEC. He was a partner at DS Avocats.
Jérôme Lombard-Platet joins as partner. He has more than thirty years’ experience advising French and international groups on M&A, LBOs, restructurings in bonis, fundraisings and joint ventures across sectors including industrial services, tech and cosmetics. He is admitted to the Bars of Paris and Madrid and holds a master’s in business law, a DEA in European law and a diploma from the Illustrious College of Madrid. He was a partner at DS Avocats.
Bernard Tézé joins as partner. He advises on M&A, private equity, LBOs, venture capital and strategic alliances for a varied clientele including start-ups, family offices and investment funds, notably in the health, tech and defence sectors. With professional experience in Japan and China, he regularly works on cross-border transactions. He graduated from HEC and holds master’s degrees in public and private law and a DESS in international taxation. He was a partner at DS Avocats.
Emma Quercy joins as counsel. She works on M&A, private equity and corporate law for French and international clients, particularly in the energy, tech and cosmetics sectors. She holds the Magistère de Juriste d’Affaires – DJCE from Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas. She was counsel at DS Avocats.
Audrey Clément joins as counsel. She advises on M&A, LBOs, management packages, financing and corporate law for domestic and international clients. Admitted to the Bars of Quebec and Paris, she holds a Master 2 in International Business Law from the University of Rennes 1 and undertook studies at the University of Nottingham. She was counsel at DS Avocats.
The tax department, led by Arnaud Nicolaou, expands its transactional tax capabilities with two arrivals. Christophe Billet joins as partner. He advises on corporate taxation in domestic and cross-border transactions, LBOs and restructurings, and assists public and private actors on real estate taxation and land development. He also represents clients in tax audits and litigation and advises corporate officers on personal tax matters. He holds a DJCE magistrate degree specialized in tax law and a maîtrise in private law focused on business law. He was a partner at DS Avocats.
Juliette Halimi joins as collaborator. She practices corporate and individual taxation in French and international contexts, assisting clients on tax aspects of audits and restructurings and in dealings with the tax authorities during audits and litigation. She holds a Master 2 in business law and tax from Université Lyon III Jean Moulin. She was a collaborator at DS Avocats.
